DEVRAHA BABA GLORY IS IMMENSE

Anant Shri Vibhushit Ashtangyogi Param Karunik Pujya Devraha Baba is a great saint of India. Devraha Baba’s glory is boundless, which is not possible for anyone to describe. His human qualities are so infinite that it cannot be imagined to estimate them. The glory of Devraha Baba’s qualities, his yogic achievements and his vast and great form are always remembered as folklore among his disciples and stories are prevalent in the minds of people.

When, where was he born and how old was he, these questions remain unanswered even today. On the request of the close devotees, Shri Devraha Baba himself used to tell about his origin from water. He once said among the devotees,I am not a human being like you people. I have taken this body for you people, the one who considers me a human is a fool. Who can know the Supreme Father God completely? Exactly the same thing happens in relation to Pujya Baba.

Remembering the power, greatness, vastness and infinite form of Devarshi Pujya Devraha Baba, who is endowed with divine qualities, devotees are always striving to attain the Supreme Reality. Pujya Shri Devraha Baba is a siddha yogi in his true form and such a yogi naturally stays away from worldly desires and fame, so the word of mouth about him is known through the contemporary society, scholars, newspapers and social people. There is always some discussion about the siddhis of Pujya Devraha Baba and his vast knowledge and noble character.

He used to order to chant the name of Ram and do the kirtan of God. He always used to say that man should keep remembering Him with his mind, speech and intellect, by which the grace of God is attained. The God who has given all these resources to man, should be used in praising His qualities, His fame, kirtan and discussing His character. Pujya Baba’s Tapobhoomi Ashram is situated on the sacred banks of the purifying Saryu at some distance from Lar Road station in Deoria district.

Along with this, his ashrams are established in various corners of the country. In his childhood, India’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad had visited Shri Devraha Baba with his parents, and also worshipped him publicly in the Prayag Kumbh of 1954. King George V of England had visited Shri Devraha Baba’s ashram. While holding the post of Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Shri Rajiv Gandhi had visited revered Shri Baba.

Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and Shri Atal Bihari Bajpai also used to come to the ashram from time to time to visit him. On 19 June 1990, Yogini Ekadashi, Tuesday, he ended his earthly life on the banks of Yamuna in Vrindavan. On the banks of the Saryu river, the wooden platform oriented everyone towards God, his Digambara form and his serious voice are still alive in the hearts of devotees.
